Embrace the Autum

Today is the autumnal equinox – the last day of summer bringing the first day of fall. This is a time to gather your thoughts, warm your hearth and home and prepare for the changing season in most places. For some, there may not be any changes outside in their area but in their perspective, how you look at the world. For others it could mean be turning point in their future. Wherever you are in your reality remember to look forward, face your challanges with positivity and keep a light in your heart.

This is on you and no one else. You are always in control of you.

Spring

This Spring marks the Spring Equinox which happens on Saturday, March 20.  It is also the first day of spring, a day of new beginnings. This year we have also experienced some unpredictable and unique weather around the world. COVID-19 is now a lifestyle with most of us working from home or practicing self quarantine and being stuck inside all day. Now would be a good time to shake things up a bit for our health and sanity.

  • Whenever possible open the curtains and let in some sunlight – it will brighten your spirits.
  • Open up those windows to circulate some fresh air – purge that stale, stuffy air.
  • Start some light spring cleaning – one small area at a time.
  • Remember to spring forward in your area – set your clocks ahead.

Now sit back with a cup of tea or your favorite drink and enjoy your accomplishments.

Connection

We may not be able to gather together throughout the holidays this year, but we can still connect with each other in various ways.

Make a call, send a card, video chat with family and friends, shop together on-line, share your book or movie review, send a message via carrier pigeon if feasible. There are so many ways to connect with one another these days.

Check up on each other and share a smile together. Be the ray of sunshine to someone struggling to move out of the dark. Reach out and connect.

Sending warm hugs and light to all.

Humanity Matters

Love and Light

This year has been a challenge for everyone of us. WE can no longer ignore the issues around our world. WE are responsible for the health of our planet. WE are responsible for our inhabitants. WE ALL have something positive to give. WE ALL can make a difference and WE CAN change the world for the better. WE are all human beings.

WE ARE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER!

BE the Light for Humanity – HUMANITY MATTERS.

The remembrance poppy (Papaver rhoeas).

The Red Remembrance Poppy is an artificial flower that has been used since 1921 to commemorate military personnel lost in battle. It represents a common or feield popy (Papaver Rhoeas) inspired by the World War I poem “In Flanders Field” by Canadian physician Lieutenant Colonel John McCrae. After the fir public use, and campaign for their use, by Moina Michael, the popy was initially adopted by the American Legion to commemorate American soldiers killed in WWI (1914-1918).

Take a moment to think about what Memorial Day really means when gathering with family and friends. Remember all military and non-military service personnel who serve and give thanks – today and everyday.

This Sunday, spend time with family and connect with friends if you can. We may be remanded at home or working hard to serve others, but our spirits can rise and be joyful.

“You may not control all the events that happen to you,
but you can decide not to be reduced by them.”  ~ Maya Angelou ~

Be safe, keep smiling and love one another with open hearts. 🐇
