Give Thanks every morning to the Creator for allowing you to enjoy another beautiful day.  If your time is coming to a close, give thanks for the time you had to love and be loved.  Cherish the warm sun on your face everyday.  Savor all that nature has to offer:  feel the wind on your skin, smell the fragrances of different flowers in a meadow, watch the leaves from a tree dance in the wind, listen to the birds sing or water trickling down a stream, taste the sweet juices from freshly picked fruit and enjoy the sunset at the end of another beautiful day.

Give thanks to those who have shown you kindness when your need was strong.  Help a stranger in need, no matter how small the deed and expect nothing in return.

Give thanks every evening to the Creator for giving you another spectacular day and know the promise of tomorrow is always there.

Half empty or half full?

No matter what happens in your life, there is always a new beginning…if that is what you choose.  You can focus on the negative parts of your path and stay miserable for the duration of your life events or focus on the positive aspects of what is happening to you and know there is always a light at the end of this event and you can begin again or move on.  There is always a beginning and there is always an end.  Focus on the positive and be the light from within.

Focus on your positive thoughts and/or feelings and bring them to your center.  Try to stay focused and centered on all things that are right in your life no matter how small.  When you are calm and at peace with your own inner thoughts you will begin to radiate an invisible light.  A light that people who are open and ready to receive will see and feel the warmth of that light.   Continue reading

Whether you are young or old, outgoing or introvert, you have the capacity to alter your perspective on the world and your surroundings.  Try Changing one word at a time – from I’m not to I am; I never to I always; I can’t to I can do anything I put my mind to.  Put a positive spin on your current situation – look for the light instead of the dark side of things.  This may sound very cliché but it really works. I have used this method to pull myself up out of the darkest situations in my life and because I kept a positive attitude, my family managed their well being also. Continue reading

Listen to your gut. If it doesn’t feel right, it’s probably not the best thing to do for you. Take notice of your first thoughts. It’s your internal warning system.
